I love my Lotta Jansdotter calender tea towel. I hope to collect them annually. I love it because it graced out kitchen wall for the whole of a year. Then instead of ending up in the waste bin, it metamorphosized into a utilitarian object. Now it makes the sometimes dreary task of dish washing a bit more beautiful and delightful. And it also is a functional memory of a year gone by.

Calender tea towels have been around forever, and they are one of the many things that our forefathers and mothers invented that is inherently green and sustainable.
